Recently we were delighted to receive a collection of maps generously donated by Crediton estate agent Jonathan Symonds. The core of the collection is about 40 Ordnance Survey 1:2500 National Grid maps covering Crediton and many of the surrounding villages. Dating from around 1970, the maps illustrate an interesting period prior to all the more recent developments. They fill a significant gap in our map collection, and will be invaluable to researchers. The rest of the collection is being catalogued, and will gradually appear in the appropriate section of our map pages.
