Winners of the museum visitor's quiz.
Crediton Museum has announced the result of its quiz held over the last few months and based on their current Transport exhibition. The winner of the £10 1st prize lives in Budleigh Salterton. Second prize of £5 was won by Morchard Bishop residents Mike and Catherine Smith, who kindly donated their winnings to the museum! Museum secretary David Nation said "We are very grateful to Mike and Catherine for their generosity. We hope that the many people who bought the quiz sheet had fun tackling the often quite challenging questions. The prize winners answers were almost completely correct. Amazing! Over £100 was raised for the museum. Despite great support from local businesses, the Town Council and other friends, we still need to raise more funds in order to cover the essential expenses involved in keeping the museum open."
David Nation also expressed thanks to the organiser of the quiz and a volunteer steward at the museum, Helena Sykes. It is planned to make the quiz an annual event.
