Pig Naming Competition

Winner of museum pig naming competition has been selected

The photo shows 9-year Findlay Atkins from Copplestone being presented with his prize for winning the “Name the Pig Competition” that ran throughout the summer at Crediton Museum. Also in the photo presenting the prize is Crediton Area History and Museum Society Committee Member, Helena Sykes.

Findlay's winning name “Mr Oinkington” was picked from the more than sixty entries. Other names included “Porky Pie”, “Snuffles” and “Crackle” as well as several anagrams of Bernavilles who loaned the pig to the museum for the duration of the exhibition.
