Crediton Museum & Heritage Centre recently held a reception for Corporate Friends of the Museum when they presented the local firms with framed certificates commemorating their years of support. Thanking them, chairman John Heal said that without their annual donation the museum could not survive. The museum was set up 10 years ago and the Friends group was established soon after because other income is insufficient to cover the overheads, mainly rent. There are also nearly 50 individual Friends and altogether the Friends contribute almost £2,000 towards the museum's total running costs of around £5,000.
