We rounded off 2014 with an excellent 30th Birthday party in the Boniface Centre. Large tables had been set out at one end of the hall with colourful tablecloths and decorations. One table was set aside for the large number of raffle prizes and another with a display of the last 30 years of CAHMS.
Triple C Café cooked a very tasty first dish of chicken casserole or vegetable goulash with roast potatoes and rice. This was followed by a delicious range of desserts provided by the members. Many thanks are due to all the cooks and helpers who made the evening run smoothly.
After supper we were entertained by Mellow D, a local group of singers who entertained us with traditional songs and carols. Their voices filled the room with no need for microphones, and were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Coffee and tea was provided together with slices of birthday cake made by Adele Cox.
