Talk by Hermione Skrine illustrated by some of the clothes of the Quicke Family from past centuries. (Newton St Cyres History Group event)
We have been very lucky to be offered, by John and Gina Quicke, a sighting of some of the clothes worn by members of the Quicke family in past centuries. Hermione Skrine from Crediton who is an expert in such matters will come and talk to us and show us some of them. We have booked the big hall for this event and everyone will be welcome.
Admission will be £2 as usual to include tea and biscuits. We do not have formal membership, anyone may come and join us. We welcome friends from other villages at this event.
Please note that this talk replaces the previously advertised talk on Animals in Warfare by Lynda Pearce, which will now take place in February 2016.
