Tour of Sandford

We ended last season’s programme with a visit to Sandford on a lovely sunny evening in May. We met our hosts in the village hall car park and were divided into two groups as we were quite a large crowd. Each group had two very knowledgeable guides who gave us a good idea of the history of the village with many interesting anecdotes. We spent some time in the church and as we walked round the village the guides pointed out other old buildings. We ended our tour at the Congregational Church hall where a marvellous home-made buffet supper awaited us. Many thanks to the members of Sandford Heritage Group for a lovely evening.
