Illustrated talk relating the history of the Forestry Commission and its many links to the area
In December 1919, at Eggesford, the Forestry Commission planted its first trees. In an illustrated talk, David Lloyd, Forestry Commission Officer of North Devon and Cornwall, will relate the history of the Forestry Commission and its many links to the area. After the talk, take a short drive to the site of the centenary avenue to be planted this year, and the historic plaques.
