A three mile walk on the edge of Crediton, exploring a mediaeval deer park while walking our way through a 16th century map. Mainly on footpaths, but starting and finishing in the town. Hilly. Can be muddy in places after rain.

Lots of history (commentary by Walk Leader), lots of lovely views. Some steep climbs. Moderately challenging.

Start time 10:15am, meet at the Museum

Refreshments : a range of options before and after the walk in the town centre and town square. Refreshment / convenience stop en route may be available if required (check on the day).

Public car park and bus stop in the town centre. Start and finish are about one mile from the railway station (trains between Barnstaple, Exeter and Okehampton).

The museum is currently presenting a folklore exhibition - Customs, Charms & Cures - which will be open on the day of the walk.
