Stories from the Great Fire of Crediton 1743. A Newton St Cyres History Group event.
Elly has been interested in genealogy since her school days and is very good at seeking out the personal stories behind the historical events. She will be able to introduce us to some of the characters who were living in Crediton in the mid eighteenth century.
The History Group has no special membership. Everyone is welcome to any meeting. Meetings are usually the second Wednesday of the month at the village hall, 7.30pm, £2 with coffee, tea and biscuits.
