Elizabeth Shakespeare is an author who has written seven books set in the North Devon Countryside. Her books have a sense of a strong historical identity of the area and reflects past lives and her interest in social history. Her talk will be about her novel ‘The Ordeal of Miss Lucy Jones’ a novel based on a true story, set in Torrington in the nineteenth century.
