Researchers of Harris and other associated West Country families will be interested in 'The Power of Two' by Professor Roger Middleton. Subtitled 'Peterhead to Plymouth, an exploration of two families over three centuries', the book describes Roger's exhaustive research into his descent from James Harris (d. 1742) of Crediton and Peter Middleton (c1779-1837) of Peterhead, Aberdeenshire.
Copiously illustrated, it is a substantial hardback book of over 500 pages which the author has published himself. CAHMS is delighted to have been presented a complimentary copy, which is held in our library and can be brought to the museum for examination on request.
