Supporting our Work
How you can support the museum, and get involved in its activities.
There are 2 options:
1 Join Crediton Area History and Museum Society. (CAHMS)
The membership fee is £15 per annum. Membership entitles you to attend our programme of talks and events at a much reduced rate. See the items marked ‘CAHMS event’ in the What's On list.
The Volunteers page highlights the opportunities for practical involvement. Volunteers need to be CAHMS members.

2. Become a Friend of Crediton Museum
We do not charge for museum admission, and income from donations and sales falls short of essential costs. By becoming a Friend you can help financially to ensure the future of Crediton Museum and Heritage Centre. Individual Membership of the Friends costs £15 per annum.

There are other levels of Friends membership, as follows:
Individual Life Membership
£100 entitles you to the same benefits as individual membership. In addition you will receive a special certificate recognising your valuable contribution to the future of Crediton Museum.

Affiliated Group Membership
This is open to neighbouring history societies at £25 per annum and entitles that group to a space at the museum to display their artefacts and occasional use of the museum for their own exhibitions (by agreement).

Corporate Membership
At £100 per annum this entitles the member to:
- the benefits of Individual Membership for up to 3 people
- inclusion on a Corporate Sponsorship recognition board at the museum
- inclusion of a description or advertisement in the sponsors section of our website
- inclusion of your logo in the footer of every page on our website

CAHMS members and Friends receive:
- the CAHMS Newsletter
- access to our valuable library of local history books and maps.
- an invitation to attend a free preview of each exhibition, with light refreshments and the opportunity to discuss the exhibition with the organisers
